In this video I touch on what the student can expect to take away from this course and what it takes to create exemplary images. 

In this video I lay out the bare essentials needed for an adequate photoshoot and also explain how brand names really don't matter when it comes to results. I place side by side pictures taken by two different cameras of the same brand (consumer entry level versus professional) to prove as much. I also briefly touch on lenses and which I used and still use for photoshoots. 

The importance of picking the right model.

In this video I describe what a test shoot entails, the many tiers of modeling agencies--good and bad, what agency represented models you as a beginner have access to and which you do not, alternatives to agency represented models and where and how to find them.

How and where to find a styling team (make up artist, hair stylist & stylist). Which if any will fork for free? Are they even necessary? Here I explain if any or all are a necessity and provide alternatives in the event you don't or can't secure one. This includes getting your own new wardrobe at no cost to you. 

How to contact modeling agencies, what they'll ask if they reply and how to respond. 

Where and what to look for when scouting a location.

A few tips on pre-shoot protocol. 

I give a preview of what I bring on a typical shoot and also revisit the "Buy & Return" method I showed earlier where in the absence of a stylist I purchased clothes to use on the shoot. 

I touch on camera angles, camera settings and the position of the sun when using natural light and also a brief technique of using off-camera flash. 

Learn what to keep and what to trash. Less is more. 

In the video I mention how the pictures with the model sitting on the window ledge aren't any good, but during the shoot I also shot on film (that wasn't recorded) and the composition and shot with turned out to my liking. I've attached the image as a downloadable material for your viewing.
