This course was designed by myself – Coach Kyle. I work as a Director of Coaching (DOC) at a highly competitive soccer club in Central Florida and under my leadership, three players have developed to play for and sign to play for PRO ACADEMY clubs throughout the world. Two in Europe and one in South America. What you will find inside this course are the exact methods that I use with my academy program at the Celebration Tropics and Florida Prospects.
This course was created in mind for the education of parents and their soccer players. This is a fantastic resource for you (as a parent and player) to educate yourself on tactical systems in a step-by-step process to gain insight into tactical knowledge of the game including methods used by PRO TEAMS. Parents and players can either watch along together or separately.
Coaches or staff members can also use the insight from this course to gain additional tactical knowledge and understand the various tactical advantages and disadvantages of different systems at the 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 levels.
Feel free to pause, rewind, rewatch all the videos as you progress through the course. I have also created a MASTER DOCUMENT that is a TAKE WITH YOU PDF to keep for your records and use a reference point.

-
16Possession Based ApproachVídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the effectiveness and importance of POSSESSION when developing future elite level of players. As well as why POSSESSION is NOT just about moving the ball, but to move the opposition to create opportunities to score.
-
17Video Example: PossessionVídeo Aula
In this video, you will see a live reference of the 2010 Prospects using possession effectively to create a goal-scoring chance from distance at a GOLD level bracket tournament at Disney World.
-
18Kickball Based ApproachVídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn how KICKBALL is the Americanized version of the game, how it is effective in youth soccer; but at the same time is detrimental to the development of future elite level players as it represents a "WIN at ALL COST" approach.
-
19Video Example: KickballVídeo Aula
In this video, you will see two different scenarios. The first is a two futsal teams playing against each other at a tournament, but notice how it almost looks like GOALKEEPER WARS. In the second part of the video, you will see a game between Brazil and Spain at the Futsal World Cup Final.
Hopefully, you will notice that kickball does NOT translate to the development of elite level players and that possession is the MOST effective tool for doing so. To reach the highest level of the game, players need extremely high technical and tactical skills that can be developed by possession.
-
20Counter Attack Based ApproachVídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn the principles of a COUNTER ATTACKING system of play and how it can be extremely effective, especially in teams U16+ through the Professional game. Jose Mourinho is arguably the one who made counter-attacking football famous.

Wednesday: Champions League Game
Thursday: Europa League Game
Saturday: Premier League Game (1-2)

28TACTICAL PAD: Walk Through (computer)Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn how to use the APP Tactical Pad - which can be downloaded on iPhone, Android, iPads, tablets or computers. I show how to use it from a computer perspective. However, the system works similarly across all platforms.
This is important because you will learn to make your own formations and corner-kick plays. Make sure to pay attention. :)
-
292-3-1Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn the principles of the 2-3-1 formation at 7v7 and how I consider it to be the most effective 7v7 formation for developing a possession-based approach. 2-3-1 is my formation of choice at the 7v7 age as it emphasizes the use of width and depth.
-
303-2-1Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn how 3-2-1 formation could be effective by giving stronger defensive solidarity, and normally creating a numerical overload central (2v1) against the opposition single center-midfielder. However, you can struggle to create offensively, if the 3 defenders do NOT push up to join the attack.
-
313-2-1 (Defending System)Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn my preferred formation when defending in 7v7. As most teams in this country, unfortunately, use KICKBALL as their primary method of attack; we need to have a counter-balanced formation to defend against it. You will see how in this video.
-
323-1-2Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn another 7v7 formation that can be extremely effective by putting 2 strikers against 2 defenders. Usually in this system, teams play MORE direct. That does NOT necessarily mean kickball (albeit it can), but it focuses on taking advantage of the numerical numbers against the opponent.

-
36Corner Kick Play #2Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn our OPTION #2 from corner kicks that we give our players the option to use if #1 isn't applicable. This one has 3/4 options available once the sequence is started. It takes the longest to learn, but when done correctly is extremely effective.
-
37Corner Kick Play #3Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn our OPTION #3 from corner kicks that we give our players if option #1 and #2 isn't applicable.

402-3-3Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 2-3-3 formation in 9v9 and how it is my preferred formation as it builds perfectly into the 11v11 game. However, it can be the hardest to master for players that are new to 9v9.
-
413-2-3 (DEFENSIVE)Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn my preferred 9v9 defensive formation as most opponents play 3-2-3 and I believe at this age, the best way to defend is to match the opposition's formation to make sure each opponent is covered. If our team wins their 1v1 battles, this provides us greater opportunity to win the game.
-
423-2-3 (OFFENSIVE)Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn how to use the 3-2-3 formation in offensive phases of play and how to be effective. This is arguably the easiest formation to implement at 9v9 because it provides great defensive solidarity and ample attacking threat.
-
434-3-1Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 4-3-1, which is a spin of the 2-3-3. The major difference is the starting position of the 'WINGERS' - who in this system play as '#2 or #3) and start deeper as they are connected with the two center-backs. It also means, they need to work harder to join the attack.
-

465-5 System of PlayVídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 5 and 5 system that 11v11 teams use up to the PRO level and how it provides the greatest ability to prevent opposition counter-attacks and also create goal-scoring chances. This system does not mean that the players in the defensive 5 don't attack, no to the contrary, it just means they understand their responsibility of protecting their goal. They are still a critical element to the build-up of attacks.
-
474-3-3Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn the principle elements of the 4-3-3 playing formation and how it is my preferred starting 11 formation as it provides the greatest amount of balance and attacking threat.
-
48Tactical Flexibility: 433 -> 3223 and 433 -> 343Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn how the 4-3-3 is a fantastic starting system that can easily transform into 2 different attacking elements in a 3-2-2-3 and a 3-4-3 which can be deadly to the opposition especially that are not as tactical aware or developed.
-
49Tactical Flexibility 433 -> 2323 and 433 -> 424Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn 2 more ways the 4-3-3 can easily transform into other tactical variants including the 2-3-2-3 and the 4-2-4 and they can extremely effective movements to counteract an opponent's defensive system.
-
504-2-3-1Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 4-2-3-1 formation. This is the same formation that took the World by storm from 2009-2014. It is the same formation Jose Mourinho won the Champions League in 2010 with Inter Milan. It is an extremely effective formation that relies on the strength of the double pivots in center midfield.
-
513-4-3Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 3-4-3 formation and it's various strengths and weaknesses. It can be extremely effective especially in central areas, as you can create numerical advantages, but can struggle to defend wide areas on counter-attacks and if this is the preferred defensive formation of a team.
-
523-5-2Vídeo Aula
In this video, you will learn about the 3-5-2 and the superiority it can create for the team in possession, especially from a central standpoint. However, it can be effectively countered if chosen to be the preferred defensive formation like the 3-4-3.
