*******Over 6,000 students are enrolled in this course*******
Yoga is a whole life process. The most important aspect of this process is that of meditation, including both seated meditation and meditation in action in daily life.
Traditional Yoga is about Self-realization, the realization in direct experience of one’s union (Yoga) with the one, universal, nondual reality. This course is a beginning, although thorough introduction into this process of systematically receding attention inward through body, breath, and mind so as to have glimpses of the Center of Consciousness which is beyond, or interior to all of those levels. This course is ideal for those who have some exposure to any of the faces of Yoga, whether ancient or modern. This will set the stage for years of expansion into the greater breadth and depth of traditional Yoga. The course includes 4 guided meditations in MP3 so that you can download them and practice at your convenience.
In loving service,
Swami Jnaneshvara (Swami J)

2Awareness Receding to the state of YogaVídeo Aula
Yoga or "Union" is attained by first training, balancing, and purifying each of the aspects of our being individually, and then systematically receding attention inward through those levels, expanding so as to experience the state of Union, Yoga, Samadhi, or Turiya.

3Purpose of Yoga MeditationVídeo Aula
The goal of Yoga is Yoga itself, union itself, of the little self and the True Self, a process of awakening to the preexisting union that is called Yoga. Yoga has to do with the realization through direct experience of the center of consciousness, the preexisting union between Atman and Brahman, Jivatman and Paramatman, and Shiva and Shakti, or the realization of Purusha standing alone as separate from Prakriti.

4Beyond Body, Breath, and MindVídeo Aula
Whether you call it Grace, God, Guru, Shaktipat, or some other name, the greatest help of all finally comes from within to remove the final barrier of ignorance (Avidya). This final stage is a process that has been called piercing the pearl of wisdom (Bindu). A Yogi does not debate whether the Realization is called Yoga, Self, Atman, Soul, or God, etc., but rather, lives "in" the world while not being "of" the world.

57-Minute MeditationVídeo Aula
This guided meditation is 7 minutes long. It follows the same systematic process as the other three meditations: Body, Breath, Mind, and Beyond. This 7-Minute meditation is obviously a little longer than the 3-Minute meditation, but still allows you to be able to have a short meditation when time is limited.

911-Minute MeditationVídeo Aula
This guided meditation is 11 minutes long. It follows the same systematic process as the other three meditations: Body, Breath, Mind, and Beyond. This 11-Minute meditation is obviously a little longer than the 3-Minute or 7-Minute meditations, but still is a relatively short time. You may find this 11-Minute meditation to be an ideal length of practice. When the 11 minutes is finished, you may often find that you sit in silence for an even longer time, allowing that time to expand naturally.
